YO Ranchlands Volunteer Fire Department
The YO Ranchlands Volunteer Fire Department sponsors an annual CPR/AED training course for landowners and other area residents and places AED equipment at strategic locations in the YO Ranchlands. This training is available for a nominal donation which is used to cover the instructor’s expenses and as a donation to the Junction EMS service and the YO Ranchlands VFD.
The YO Ranchlands Volunteer Fire Department maintains a “deuce and a half” fire truck that acts as a second response unit for fires in the Ranchlands. It is equipped with an 800-gallon water tank, an independently powered pump, 1-1/2″ handlines and a 1″ booster line equipped with variable pattern nozzles, and some 2-1/2″ supply line. The truck is also setup and equipped for drafting operations.
This unit is also available for controlled burns by prior arrangement through the officers of the YO Landowners Association. A donation is involved.
